Technobasalt-Invest introduces a new product – Basalt Composite Rebar

Technobasalt-Invest LLC introduces a new construction composite material of the ХХІ century with a unique combination of metal, plastic, and wood characteristics – basaltcompositerebar, made of continuous basalt fiber.
Basalt composite rebar is a bar with continuous spiral ribbing, formed by way ofwinding by basalt fiber to form a wave-like profile with the aim of better adhesion with the concrete.
The rebar is light, extremely strong, possesses low thermal conductivity characteristics, good electrical insulation characteristics, does not corrode, rot or warp, it is resistant to aggressive environments and abrupt temperature changes, bio, humidity and atmosphere resistant.
Our product is a promising composite material with a large range of applications, such as for instance industrial and residential construction, construction of roads and bridges, fencing structures, as well as any structures, which are subject to high corrosive conditions (ports, dry docks, sea line reinforcement etc.).
Research results have shown that long life of constructions where basalt rebars were used is considerably higher than the life of similar structures where other materials were used.
All of the above insures the following advantages of using basalt rebar:

The same design principles as are applied to ferroconcrete structures can be applied to concrete structures with basalt rebars. Reinforcement can be inner, outer, and combined.
Being considerably stronger than steel and having ultimate corrosion resistance our rebar is perfect for the use in structures subject to corrosion.
